https://soundcloud.com/jambrains/lost-in-dublin-1/s-3FxPhShane poured the whiskey
filled our glasses to the brim
Had a sup, then another
and then he said: it's a sin
To leave a bottle half full
or leave a song unsung
To close your eyes to beauty
or waste time when you're young
I'm a Swede lost in Dublin
in The Bar With No Name
I'm a Swede lost in Dublin
where the pubs all look the same
If I ever find my way back home
I swear upon my life
I'll stay away from whiskey
and stay faithful to my wife
He told me all about his life
of the people that he'd known
I found him hard to follow
his accent thicker than my own
He talked about the races
his face it lit up as he spoke
of winning twenty f***** five to one
on A Bottle Of Smoke
I'm a Swede lost in Dublin
in The Bar With No Name
I'm a Swede lost in Dublin
where the pubs all look the same
If I ever find my way back home
I swear upon my life
I'll stay away from whiskey
and stay faithful to my wife
But as the the day was breaking
I found myself alone
Shane had just walked away
screaming Póg mo thóin
The floozie on the corner
tried to help me find my way
but not until she'd tried every trick
in the book to make me stay
I'm a Swede lost in Dublin
in The Bar With No Name
I'm a Swede lost in Dublin
where the pubs all look the same
If I ever find my way back home
I swear upon my life
I'll stay away from whiskey
and stay faithful to my wife
She said when you see Trinity
just turn left and walk a while
Cross over O'Connell Bridge
And walk right past the Spire
Then on your left you'll find the way
To get you out of here
Let the airport bus whisk you away
from the whiskey and the beer
I'm a Swede lost in Dublin
in The Bar With No Name
I'm a Swede lost in Dublin
where the pubs all look the same
If I ever find my way back home
I swear upon my life
I'll stay away from whiskey
and stay faithful to my wife
