Using Existing Libraries on a New Computer
When you get a new computer, it's not always necessary to reinstall the entire library from scratch from your DVDs.
Instead, you can copy the SAGE folder to the System drive.
Mac
Macintosh HD/Users/Your Username/Library/Application Support/Spectrasonics
NOTE: To find the above folder in Lion or Mt. Lion, please click HERE.
Windows 7/ Vista
C:\ProgramData\Spectrasonics
NOTE: The ProgramData folder is a hidden folder by default on Windows 7/ Vista, so you'll need to "Show Hidden Files and Folders" in your Control Panel/ Folder Options.
In both cases, if you don't have a Spectrasonics folder, you can simply create the Spectrasonics folder in those locations before copying over the SAGE folder.
If the SAGE library is on a secondary or external drive, you can simply create an alias or shortcut to that folder that reads "SAGE" (remove the word 'alias' or 'shortcut to' from the name) and place the alias or shortcut in the Spectrasonics folder on your System drive.
After you've completed these steps, there is no need to install the software from the discs. Instead, download and install the latest updates, then open the plugins and authorize them.
