Uppenbarligen GÅR det att köra pluggar, designade för PC, på Mac!?...

Är det någon som testat följande?

To run some of the native windows ampsims you need 2 programs:

1) VFX Software ->Beta<- for Mac - mainly it menages the vst content of the V-Machine hardware, still it's capable of running the dll files - both VST & VSTi

2) JackOSX - for routing the signal from VFX to DAW input. Several people suggested using Soundflower, but Soundflower handles only signal routed from the VSTi and not the effects, so in case of ampsims it is useless.

Next you have to:

1) Run and program called jackPilot that comes in bundle with jackOSX ->before<- running DAW or VFX - otherwise bugs may appear - click start button

2) Make sure that JackRouter is set as "standard output" in OSX Audio & Midi settings

3) Run VFX , import your freebie ampsim. The functionality of rendering plugin's gui isn't the strongest point of the VFX though, so it is better to change the parameters without GUIs

4) Run your DAW , make sure the DAW and JackOSX have the same sample rate and buffer set. Choose JackRouter as the main input (or input and output - it doesn't matter)

5) in JackOSX , click on "Routing" button. To avoid feedback, break the direct connection between the "wine" outputs and the system playback. Route them to the DAW input instead, and the DAW output to the system playback.

You're done.

The method doesn't work with all the freebies though. I tested it on Juicy 77, LePou's, Aradaz and EddieVsHeaven plugins (the last even had the gui working). The AcmeBarGig and Shred Suite crashed the VFX Beta . It seems like the program is being updated from time to time, so it might change.

For the Cabinet IR enthusiasts:

It is not the best idea to put the convolving plugin in to the VFX. It would probably mute the ampsim plugin.
For Impulses , insert free mac effects like LAConvolver or Reverberate to your track in DAW.

Hänger inte riktigt med själv måste jag säga...
